A Noble Gesture
Heath Ledger had a good family in his corner... According to official documents, Heath had left his entire estate to his parents and siblings in his will. His family turned around and gave the entire estate to his young daughter Matilda, in order to ensure that her future would be stable and secure. Isn't that nice? It's so rare that you hear about family member attached to a famous person that aren't trying to lie, steal, cheat and manipulate their way into that person's millions. It is so refreshing to see that people in this world are still decent-- it's one of the things that makes this world so cool. I just wish there weren't a million and one cruel things in this world to counter it. Oh well, I can look on the bright side. If it wasn't for the evil and cruelty in the world, I'd have hardly any juicy content. Ha!

Why So Serious?
I'll tell you why... This movie is breaking records and making history all over the globe! This is the first film in cinematic history that has grossed over 200 million in just 5 DAYS!!! Can you believe it??? Everyday since it's release it has made a minimum of $20 million. That is insanity, and I'm sure it's worth it. I have yet to see the film myself (I went last week, but it was chaos so I saw WANTED instead), as I don't enjoy lines or hordes of people, but I will see it in IMAX with one of my homegirls next weekend. I am looking forward to seeing Heath Ledgers final performance which I'm sure will be critically acclaimed. Good going Warner Brothers!

BATMAN: The Dark Knight!
This is what I've been waiting for. I am a big DC Comic/Marvel fan, and of course a fan of the Batman series'. This right here, is going to top them all! This film was heath Ledger's last full motion picture before he died, and the cause of death is greatly attributed to this film. Ledger is the kind of actor that gets deep into his character, and this dark, homicidal character of The Joker took over his life.
Ledger was said to have "demons" while shootin this film and was unable to sleep. He got paranoid and developped insomnia which caused him to start taking sleeping pills. Eventually he was found dead in his trendy NYC apartment due to an overdose of sleeping pills... So sad. I hope this film honors him, and his great achievements... And besides, Christian Bale is a BEAST (withi his FIIIIINE self!) Yes people, I AM down witht he swirl... DON'T HATE! Haha.

Bright Beginning....Tragic Ending...
(images courtesy of Dlisted.com and INFimages)
How is my faithful flock? I know I've been gone for some time, and unfortunately I come bearing sad news. Young bright star Heath Ledger (10 Things I Hate About You, Brokeback Mountain) was found dead this afternoon in his Greenwich Village apartment. He was found at 3:30 this afternoon by his masseuse after she was let in by the maid. after many attempts to shake him without response, they called the paramedics. They performed cpr to no avail; he was dead on the scene... There was a bottle of over-the-counter sleeping pills found by his bedside. Heath was only 28 years old.
The troubled actor had concealed a battle with drugs for many years, and never sought treatment, according to close friends. He leaves behind a 2 year old daughter named Matilda that he had with actress Michelle Williams (Dawson's Creek, Brokeback Mountain). Ledger stars in this years new Batman film playing the tortured, schizophrenic and devious character of the JOKER. During the filming, he complained about not being able to sleep, and being tortured by demons that were accentuated by the themes of the film. How tragic! I always thought he was quite handsome, and a great actor. I am deeply saddened by this news.... Below is the last picture taken of Ledger on Saturday night during his performance in London on: "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus."
Sad, tragic, unbearable, cliche, heart-wrenching, the worst. Thank You.
