Travis McCoy ARRESTED For Reacting To Racial Slur

On Wednesday, Travis McCoy (lead singer of uber-popular group Gym Class Heroes) was arrested on assault charges. During the set on Tuesday night in St. Louis, an African-American concert-goer called McCoy an "ignorant ni**er". McCoy proceeded to hit the concert-goer over the head repeatedly with his microphone. He received assault charges, and has since been released on $500 bond. His publicist had the following to say in a statement:

“Somebody in the crowd was taunting Travis with racial slurs. Travis
invited him onstage with the intent of calling him out in front of the crowd, with absolutely no intention of a physical altercation. When he tried to help him onstage, the guy hit Travis in the knee area (which has been in a brace because of a recent sprain), forcing Travis to defend himself. At this point, a scuffle broke out.

This whole incident is unfortunate. Travis McCoy and Gym Class Heroes are anything but violent. Their message is about racial unity and having a good time. It’s amazing that in 2008 there are still people out there that would say such ignorant things.

Travis is deeply upset that this happened, and has expressed his
apologies to the band's fans that were at the show, Kevin Lyman, and the Vans Warped Tour. GCH is putting this behind them and looks forward to seeing everyone on the rest of the tour.”

Jay-Z Makes A Mockery Of Himself & Camels Everywhere...

Clearly, there has been a lot of tension between Jay-Z and many concert-goers at the Glastonbury Festival in the UK. This is the first time in history that the festival didn't sell out, and Oasis band-member Noel Gallagher blamed it on Jay-Z in the media. He claimed that a hip-hop headliner on a historically rock festival was over-kill. I gotta say the man had a point. I'm not expecting to see Aerosmith headline a T.I concert-- but I'm just sayin... Anyway, Jay-Z mocked the band by singing their international hit, "Wonderwall"-- or least attempting to sing it. It was quite painful to see... Watch:

High-Fashion Model Committs Suicide Suddenly!

Ruslan Korshunova ( the 5 foot 8 high-fashion model from Khazakstan better known as "The Russian Rapunzel"), jumped to her death from the ninth floor balcony of her NYC apartment this Saturday. She was only 20 years old, and would have turned 21 tomorrow. She has been in French and Russian Vogue and has worked for the likes of Vera Wang and Marc Jacobs. She was definitely a bright star in the world of high-fashion with a very bright future in front of her. Her modelling agancy, IMG released a statement of condolences for the family of the deceased. Friends of the late model say that she had just returned from a runway show in Paris and seemed to be "on top of the world"... Sad.

Let this be a lesson to all. Money and beauty does not always equal happiness. Don't envy those in the glam and the limelight, because we never truly know what demons and monsters they struggle with in their seemingly-perfect lives everyday. Do not strive to be like anyone else but yourself. Thank the Almighty for your blessings, and pray for your sanity... And I'm OUT!

This weekend, Amy Winehouse performed at the Glastonbury festival and proceeded to curse Kanye West out for being a total "c*nt". I have to say, at times-- he really can be. But that's just part of t he enigma that is Mr. West... But I digress... Amy said the following:

Winehouse, 24, finished her set at the Glastonbury Festival Saturday by asking "Are there any black people in the crowd?"

She continued: "Let's hear it for Jay-Z. The man has got bollocks to come here, and play the tunes you don't even know you remember. Imagine if it was a c--t like Kanye West. 'C--ts Like Kanye' – that should be his next album title."

Kanye West responded on his blog with the following:

"This just in... Amy Winehouse hates me...Now I've really made it!!! LOL!!!"

Well, according to Us Weekly she is... Us Weekly is pretty reputable for the most part, so I'm going to hope and pray that their sources are reliable and conscious... According to their "sources", the doormen in Madonna's apartment have witnessed Rodriguez sneaking into Madonna's upscale Manhattan apartment late at night, and leaving in the wee hours of the morning...He attended her April 30th concert, and shortly after, she attended a Yankee game for the first time. I dunno, but if this rumor has any truth to it I have to say I'm not mad at Madonna AT ALL! Arod ain't half bad, and he's nearly half her age! COUGAR POWER!!!!

We Have GOT To Do Better...

Don't get me wrong people. I loooooove my blackness, my African culture, and my ancestry but some things just make me shake my head in shame... What in the world is this??? Light skin vs. dark skin? Were they really serious? Well apparently they were. This is a prime example of the things that divide our community and cause us to turn on each other. People are always looking for ways to separate and compete against one another.
