Picture Of The Day

Hmmmm. Where do I begin? In fact it's fruitless. I respect my readers enough to know that you all can CLEARLY see what's wrong with this picture. My question is: ANDRE LEON TACKY.... Are you serious? You can't be boo. You jus can't be... Here is a quick flick of Andre and Venus Williams making their way to the tents at the Mercedes-Benz fashion week in NYC. For SHAME Andre... The fashion GODS will not be happy with this!

Ciara Sues THE PANTS OFFA VIBE MAGAZINE!!

The image above has been circulating the internet and newsstands all over the nation... There's just one problem with the image-- it's FRAUDULENT!!! Ciara and her camp are suing VIBE magazine for super-imposing her body as nude when in fact she wore clothes during the shoot... Geez, what kind of nasty-perverted-pedophillic mess is this??? IN what world did VIBE ever think this would be acceptable? Aren't they learned in journalism ethics? This is just plain embarassing. And the only ones that are going to be nekkid now are the VIBE staffers because they're about to all lose their jobs when Ciara's done with them... GEEZ!

KANYE WEST: ARRESTED!

When I first heard the news I was very interested. I know half the country is going to scream "FOUL" while the other half screams "FINALLY"! I know a lot of people think that this is poetic justice for "Kanye's arrogant ass"... I honestly don't know how to feel. Kanye and his bodyguard confiscated and destroyed two cameras owned by TMZ photogs. They were trying to get footage of Kanye at LAX airport. Kanye and his bodyguard are beig held on $20,000 bail. Below is the video of the incident. WATCH:

SAY What????: Part I & II

All I have to say about these next two videos is: WOW. The first clip is of Karrine "Supahead" Steffans "airing out" Eddie Winslow's "dirty laundry"... Or should I say "dirty sex toys"... I know she's just bitter and upset that he broke up with her and put her on front street but DAMN! Isn't ANYTHING sacred anymore? SMH... WATCH:

And... I didn't think it was posible, but a young girl is actually SELLING HER VIRGINITY online... Dont believe me? WATCH:

BEHOLD! "The Best Rapper Alive"

...According to Time Magazine that is. They have hailed the 26-year-old rapper as the greatest who's ever done it-- though I'm sure many die-hard rap fans would protest. From his raspy-infectious voice, ridiculously serious work-ethic and million-dollar-first-week album sales, Time Magazine has found their rap-genius! Check out a little bit more of what they had to say about Weezy:

Lil Wayne has a smoke-scarred rasp that makes him sound like Redd Foxx covering Bob Dylan. It's hardly the voice you'd expect from a 25-year-old rap star, but then, it's been a busy 25 years.

Born Dwayne Carter Jr. and raised in Hollygrove, a New Orleans neighborhood famous for producing soul singers, Wayne signed his first deal at age 11 after rhyming on a record executive's answering machine. At 12, he distinguished himself by starring as the Tin Man in his gifted middle school's production of The Wiz--and by accidentally shooting himself in the chest with a .44-cal. while imitating Travis Bickle in his bedroom. After teenage years that were lost to the comically awful gangsta group Hot Boys (like 'N Sync with shivs), Wayne went solo and undertook a transformation almost unprecedented in hip-hop. Over four years, he morphed from a mediocre rapper with a thuggish point of view into a savant who merges sex, drugs and politics with a sneaky intellect, a freakish knowledge of pop culture and a voice out of the Delta. Whether Wayne is, as he claims, the "best rapper alive" is no longer even debated in hip-hop or commercial circles. Since June 10, when his latest album, Tha Carter III, sold 1,005,545 copies in its first week, he's been the undisputed champ.

That number would be huge in boom times, but at a moment when most records languish on the racks like Depression apples, it's titanic. It also represents the victory of a business model every bit as counterintuitive as Radiohead's. Most musicians still carefully dole out an album's worth of songs every few years to keep from saturating the market. Vibe magazine counted 77 new Lil Wayne tracks in 2007. Besides coughing out guest verses for seemingly anyone who asked, he sometimes recorded three songs in a night and gave them away on the Internet minutes later on a series of superb mix tapes. In June, just before Tha Carter III went on sale, Wayne announced on YouTube that he'd be releasing the tracks for free on a tape called The Leak.

If the charts are to be believed, his goodwill has been repaid many times over. Of course, it helps that Tha Carter III is one of the best albums of the year. It's a pop play--and smelling it, everyone from Jay-Z to Robin Thicke jumped on board with contributions--but it's still weird enough to sound like underground Lil Wayne. His wordplay can be thrilling ("My picture should be in the dictionary next to the definition of definition"), and no other rapper finds as much joy in rhyming; "in the way," "everyday," "what we say," "cliché," "Andre 3K," "sensei" is a typical string from Dr. Carter, his prescription for what ails rap. But the impact owes more to his delivery than to his wit. Wayne isn't afraid to sound bizarre. On Phone Home, he rhymes like E.T., and throughout, he stammers, intentionally misses beats and defies most of the rules of contemporary rap. On DontGetIt, over a sample of Nina Simone's Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood, he tells a life story that veers into an indictment of drug laws and finishes some 1,200 words and 10 minutes later by dismissing Al Sharpton with a theatricality even the good Reverend would have to appreciate.

Wayne claims his rhymes are stream of consciousness, but even if they aren't, they sound as though they're hitting the air for the first time, unfolding with an electricity that's--forbid the sacrilege--Dylanesque. Redd Foxx would probably dig 'em too.

Usher & Tameka Expecting...

A source close to Usher has confirmed to People Magazine that Tameka is expecting her second child with the pop star (her fifth child total). According to sources, Tameka was donning a stomach-concealing dress on September 4th when Usher performed at an NFL kick-off bash. Why Usher continues to procreate with Skeletor is a mystery to me.... OK, no-- lemme take that back. That was mean. She's doesn't look like Skeletor... She looks more like a hungry Raptor... Oops! There I go again. No details to the expected birth-date of the little boy or girl, but I will keep you all posted as the story develops... Congrats to the "happy" couple!

Spankin' New VIdeo!

Main-O feat. T.I, Swizz Beatz, Jadakiss, Plies & Fabolous: "Hi Hater (remix)":

I don't think this song really needed a remix... The beat knocks, but it's so simple and repetitive that I'm so good on it. Main-O would have hit the nail on the head had he not thrown in random-ass Plies in the mix. I don't like that dude-- he's corny and raps like he has autism. And don't even get me started on that corny-ass "goonie" chain he wears. You fake-ass thug-- take that "gangsta-bling" OFF! Can't stand a perpetrator... But I digress. Check out the video (with random-ass cameos from Mya) above!

PIcture Of The Day

Meet Kanye West. Aka: Malcolm X meets Mr. Rogers meets Stephen Hawking, meets Roj (from "What's Happenin'") meets Gilligan... In other words an haute-couture mess. Here is ya boi 'Ye looking oh-so dorkilicious at the NY Mercedes-Benz fashion week yesterday. He really needs to stop. Really.

The Eagle Will Land November 17th

For all you Beyonce Stans out there, the time has come. Beyonce has been working on her follow-up to 2006's "B-Day" with her yet-to-be-titled LP. "If I Were A Boy" & "Single Ladies" are set to hit the airwaves on October 7th. According to Bey, she co-wrote and co-produced all the songs on this album. This will be her third, final and most personal album to date. The official release is November 17th (hope she's not stepping on any toes, lol).

PS: That whole Etta James thing was cute and all, but homegirl really needs to let that hair-piece go! **SNAPS!**

People Lost Their MINDS This Weekend...

From FASHION ROCKS to The VMA's the stars stepped OUT this weekend. Too bad most of them forgot their stylists! Check out some of the craziest get-ups seen out and about this weekend... Above is my all-time favorite Lil' Mama... Poor thang.

Ugh! No Comment.

Ain't I'm CLEAN Though?

Say what you want about Britney Spears, but homegirl was looking extra clean last night at the VMA awards. This is arguably one of the best pictures of her taken in the last 2 years! Even her weave-game is on point, you can't even hate! Although there was much speculation that Britney would perform last night to redeem herself of the catastrophic performance last year, she didn't. She just did a spoof as the VMA intro, and nabbed three awards. One for best female video! Go GIRL!

Picture Of The Day

The past, and the future! Beyonce (and her wig), Miley Cyrus and Rihanna were on hand with 7 other divas at the Fashion Rocks "Stand Up To Cancer" event this weekend. I thought the picture stood out because it represents pop music and where it's going with veteran Beyonce and newbies Miley & Rihanna.... Well, relatively newbie anyway... Check out the video here:

Mama Spears Co-Signs On Britney's Craziness

...and I'm not talking meltdowns. In Lynne Spears new tell-all book, "Through The Storm", she gives juicy and scandalous details into Britney's private life. She claims that Britney started drinking at 13, and started having sex at 14. In fact, she lost her virginity at the tender age of 14 to the 18-year-old quarterback of her high school. Justin Timberlake later stated in an interview in 2003 that he knew for a fact that Britney had lost her virginity eons before their romance. But for publicity's sake, they kept up the "saving myself 'til marriage" charade. Lynne also claims that Britney started experimenting with drugs at 15, and when she was 16 got caught on a private jet with marijuana and cocaine.... Lynne doesn't want to take all the bad-parenting credit though. She blames most of Britney's behavior on the negative people around her trying to over-sex her and her image through raunchy videos... I'm sorry, but when did parents suddenly lose the ultimate veto-power when it comes to their kids? Way to pass-the-buck Lynne. SMH.

Wow. I mean, we knew Brit had a terrible year in '07 and just completely spiraled out of control, but who knew how scandalous she was when she was perpetrating as "America's Sweetheart"? This is a prime example of why we should never take things for face-value. You never can tell what is truly lurking just beneath the surface....
