The Jig Is Up Homie....

This past weekend, Orenthal James (OJ) Simpson was found guilty on all twelve counts of kidnapping and robbery in a Las Vegas hotel almost a year ago. The retired football star held a man up at gunpoint, and stole his merchandise, claiming it was HIS paraphenalia, and he was taking it back. OJ became famous for more than his athletics 13 years ago when he was acquitted of the murder (who almost all of us think was total BS) of his ex-wife Nicole Simpson. Since then he has basically been a social pariah, and has been in and out of the headlines-- always receiving bad press. Well apprently, his lucky days have come to an end. OJ's sentencing is scheduled for December 15th, and he can face a possible life sentence in jail. Ohhh weee, Karma is a biatch with a mini-skirt and high-heels, ain't she?

Quote(s) Of The Day....

Palin: "We cannot afford to lose in Iraq or we're going to be no better off in the war in Afghanistan either. We have got to win in Iraq. It would be a travesty if we quit now."

Biden: "For John mcCain, there's not end in sight to this war in Iraq. Fundamental deifference: We WILL end this war."

Even Half Of Him Is Hot!

Check out our boy Barack covering the new issue of Vibe... Did you notice that he said "I can't do it alone. I need you"? Well, ummmmmmmmmm yeah. He was talking to me. Sorry guys!

Spankin' New Video: Usher

Mr. Raymond has a new video out called, "Trading Places". I dunno... Is it just me or does he seem to be getting less and less relevant as time goes on. It seems like the Chris Brown's and even the Ne-Yo's of the world are swiftly taking his place as leading R&B crooner. And they do have one up on him-- they don't have kids and they don't have beastly-looking wifey's up under them at any given moment... Oh, did I say one up? I defintiely meant TWO.. Ahem, Ahem:

I'm just sayin... I don't mean to be mean, but that's all I can be-- it's just me. Anyway, check out Usher's new video below. WATCH:

For Serious?

I spotted this abomination of a magazine cover over at SandraRose.com. Apparently the executives at MAD aren't feeling our boy Obama, but was all this really necessary? MAD is infamously known to be tongue-in-cheek, and they generally make fun of everybody-- but for some reason this rubbed me the wrong way. I just don't understand why people insist on being indecent, and making a mockery of the man day in and day out. Is it jealousy? You might say I'm bised (and I probably am), because I always make fun of Sarah Palin and McCain, but come ON... Palin's an idiot! She's just ASKING for it. No,no, no the woman is just beggin me for it, like: "Please Cocoa, the most powerful, beautiful and intelligent blogger in the universe... Please taunt and tease, I just aim to please!" So, I mean it's really not that big of a deal. But Obama? He's a modern-day maverick. A genius! An eloquent, graceful, gracious, supa-dupa-fly, homie from the Chi. It just don't get no better than that! I say to all the "haters": KEEP IT COMING! My boy Barack will simply dust his shoulders off and keep on truckin' like he always does... CHUUUUUUUURCH!

Take Notes....

Check this out ladies. This is what happens when you flirt with your stylists' man. You end up going to concerts looking like an over-stuffed 1980's Prince back-up dancer... With a very bad synthetic wig. Awwww shucks, I told y'all the world was cruel, didn't I? Check out ya girl Trina "rapping" earlier this week at some event-- in someplace or other. Wow, the things that some people do to reamin relevant... It truly is a shame. From those too-tight shorts, to those thigh ribbon-curtain thingies, ya girls is beyond a mess. She's a TSUNAMI! SMH.

Diddy Say: "Knock You OUT!"

Looks like trouble in paradise for our two favorite (most interesting, and most recognizable) "bad girls" of Danity Kane. Apparently, Diddy kicks the two of them out of the group on the final episode which airs October 7th. Check out the trailer below with snippets of the much-anticipated finale. Diddy does NOT look pleased...WATCH:

Britney In Da BRONX!

Don't be fooled by the rocks that she got. She's still, she's still Brit-Brit from the block! Britney Spears has been in NYC for the past week promoting her new album, convincing people she's "sane", and basically living the fast and gritty NY lifestyle. She was spotted on Tuesday night leaving the hit Broadway play: "In The Heights" (which is a must-see that I haven't seen yet... blah!). Here she is this morning at P.S 142 in the Bronx signing autographs for the kids and showing love. I can't lie the girl has been cleaning up nicely nowadays. Good for her!

Britney LOVE da kids, y'all!

BET To Cancel Rap City!

According to livesteez.com, BET executives plan to pull the plug on the long-standing rap show that has been a mainstay on BET for years-- since 1989 to be exact. Apparently, the show has been suffering from bad ratings for the last 3 years (since "Big Tigger's" departure). Check it out:

Originally hosted by "The Mayor of Rap City" Chris Thomas for its first several years, Rap City’s "golden age" was 1994-1999, when the program was hosted by the colorful and knowledgeable duo of Joe Clair and Leslie Segar AKA Big Lez. In 1999, the two hour slot was repackaged as Rap City: Tha Basement and christened with new host Big Tigger. Tigger’s run birthed the popular Freestyle Booth session, where MCs would feature their best rhymes or freestyles following their interviews. After completing their verses, many times with Tigger joining in, the MC(s) would traditionally sign the booth’s wall. These freestyle sessions produced memorable performances from artists such as Ludacris, The Roots, Killer Mike, Chamillionaire, Jay-Z, Jadakiss, Obie Trice, Xzibit, Cassidy and numerous others. Since Tigger’s 2005 departure, the show failed to establish a concise direction, running through a myriad of hosts and focusing on commercial artists, which failed to showcase Hip-Hop’s diverse talent pool as done years before. Consequently, the show was reduced to a one hour time slot as ratings suffered.
The final Rap City episode will air on October 29, making it the longest running Hip-Hop program at 19 years.

Hmmmmm. Sad. Rap City, you will be missed.

Will You Marry Me?

Oops! My bad Michelle, I almost forgot. I was just blind-sided by your husband's sheer amazingness! The image above is of our fair Barack accepting an award for outstanding political achievement aka the Phoenix Award, at the 38th Annual Legislative Conference dinner from the Congressional Black Caucus, in Washington, D.C. I'm really starting to truly believe that real change in our nation is possible. This is beautiful!

Big Shouts to Bossip.com for the image!

It's Not A Rumor...

....or a tumor. It's true! Eminem is going to destroy the airwaves with his fourth-coming LP entitled: "The Empack". This is undoubtedly going to be one of the most anticipated albums of the year. Em disappeared into obscurity shortly after his dear friend "Proof" of D12 was murdered in cold blood.

Since then, Em has reportedly gained a whopping 25 pounds, and everyone was wondering whether we would ever hear from him again. Well wonder no more. No release date is set, but 50's "Before I Self Destruct" will be released December 9th, and em's album will follow soon after. Aftermath is doing big things, because Dr. Dre's "Detox" will also come out around this time... Can you say: TRIPLE THREAT!!!! Well... Double threat. Ya boy 50 is falling way off if you ask me-- but I digress. Look out for that "Empack" this winter!

Still "Just Friends", Eh?

Yep! beacuse me and my friends ALWAYS take romantic getaway trips to Cabo, Mexico to get away from it all... Yeah right. Above is a pic of Hollywood's youngest outted gay couple doing it way big in Mexico. In the infamous words of Tupac, "I ain't mad atcha!"

Thank You Dlisted.com for this image!

Liar!

Above is the latest interview (aka latest embarassment) of Sarah Palin with Katie Couric yesterday. As everyone knows homegirl tried to get some foreign policy "cred" by claiming that she regulated Russia's use of American air space (in Alaska) during her term as mayor. According to the U.S airforce, this is untrue. Russia never violated any airspace terms, therefor it was never necessary for Palin to DO anything. Ugh, when will this insanity end???? Novemebr 4th perhaps? Let's hope for the best!
