I for one am glad that Oprah has put her serious star-power under Barack Obama's presidential campaign. They have been touring the country spreading a message of hope, economic stability and change in our foreign policy, health care and elsewhere. This is by far one of the most historic campaigns in our country's history, and I'm not 100% on which way I want to go, but I'm just enjoying the ride... Barack has many critics-- especially those old school washed-up guys from the civil-rights movement, who are bitter that they didn't have this opportunity, and are taking every chance they get to bring Obama down and chastise him for being "too young and inexperienced". I'm glad Oprah is helping him during this campaign... I can't wait to see how this all pans out!
The following excerpt by Oprah was taken from People Magazine:
“This is very, very personal. I’m here because of my personal conviction about Barack Obama and what I know he can do for America. For the very first time in my life, I feel compelled to stand up and speak out for the man who I believe has a new vision for America. I understand the difference between a book club and free refrigerators. I understand the difference between that and this critical moment in our nation’s history. I believe that Barack Obama will bring statesmanship to the White House. I believe that he will lead with strength, conviction, honor and compassion.”
Yep....that's wassup!
