For those of you less tech-savvy that don't know what "SMH" means-- it means "Shaking My Head". And I am ETERNALLY (now and forever) shaking my head at the straight coonery/buffoonery below. The next time someone says something racial about Black folks and fried chicken? I can't even be mad. I can't even argue, and I definitely won't hate. Some Black people will sell their soul for some damn chicken. What a shame. Black people were acting the DAMN DONKEY when Popeyes ran out of chicken. Yes, they RAN OUT. And it's because they had a special-- 8 pieces for $4.99, and every single Black person in Michigan ran to their nearest Popeyes. They ate them out! LIterally! And once the rations ran thin, people went nuts. This one man actually had the nerve to say: "How am I gonna feed my children"??? As if supermarkets don't exist, and greasy fried-chicken is the best and only form of sustenance for his children. SMH!!! WATCH:

Here We Go, Here We Go Again...

Unless you have been in Fiji living it up, then you must have heard about 50 Cent's latest beef with Rick Ross. If not, check out the full timeline HERE.
Anyway, 50 Cent has escalated this beef to a level we have never seen before by video-taping himself taking Rick Ross' baby-mama to Gucci to splurge on some goodies. 50 even paid for her friend to get Gucci shoes and a fur coat as well... This was not all. 50 didn't stop there. He funded the making of a new tell-all book entitled: Tia's Diary: Deeper Than Rap. So, basically 50 is sponsoring yet another ignorant, loud-mouthed hip-hop hoochie's dream at relevance and fame. SMH.
She better enjoy her 7.5 minutes while she still has em! And if you like that sorta thing, click the link and order an issue online! It's amazing the kind of financial-backing hip-hop beef gets these days...

Where We Went Wrong...

I never really understood why it was so cool to be "from the hood". When I was little, we lived rather humbly. Me and my two other sisters to a room, kinda cramped. My mom and dad did their best and kept our little house neat and tidy-- but there were always those occasional unwelcomed roaches and mice every once in a while. I would never want to brag about that. Shoot, once I turned 11, my dad got promoted and we moved to Jamaica Estates-- THAT's when I felt like bragging. A nice home, lawn, backyard and mild-mannered neighbors. I always thought that people from the hood knew better than to glorify it. After all, what's so great about pissy hallways, hyperdermic needles, death and destruction, drugs and violence? For the most part it's the most un-hood people to glorify it. It's those that know least about the horrors of low-income areas that brag about it. And this is often because they don't REALLY know about it. Well I'm confused. Either Jacki-O isn't really as hood as she claims, or she's just plain ol' ignorant. I'd venture to go with option 2. WATCH (if you dare):

The "Bottom Baby"

Now-- we like to entertain, but CCW ain't ones for GOSSIP. So you ain't heard this from us! However... Word on the street is there is a transsexual rapper named "FoxxJazell" claims to have had a very intimate, sexual and raunchy relationship with rapper Chingy. I don't know all the particulars but homegirl(boy) must have gotten burned because he/she is TELLING ALL! The video below is actually an audio clip of the song, "Bottom Baby" that F.J made especially for Chingy...
Wow, what a mess! As if he's bad lyrics, corny demeanor and fall-out with DTP Records wasn't bad enough... Now this? I feel for you bruh. But lay with dogs and get fleas I suppose. By the way... Nice PINK watch there guy (SMH, even Cam'ron couldn't pull THAT one off and still have a semblance of straightness to him! LMAO)! WATCH & LISTEN:
Disgraceful!

I try to hit y'all with things that are cool. I try to hit y'all with things that are interesting. I even try to hit y'all with things that are educational. But every once in a while I have to hit y'all with some ignorance to remind you just how cruel and evil the world can be. Now, check the video below for instance. This "mother" is strip dancing like a floozy in the camera while her babies (still in diapers mind you!) watch helplessly. How is this ever ok? Is this where the next generation is going? I don't wanna throw in the towel, but geez. WATCH:

We STILL Got Dat New-New For You-You...

Man, Souljaboy is annoying, but I can't lie. That "turn my swag on" song is genius! You just can't hate it-- it's utterly addictive! And though it was released damn-near a year ago, it's #1 in NYC right NOW!!! Insanity. Who knew this lil skninny kid had reach? Well he does. And he's done a crazy remix featuring: Jim Jones, Young Jeezy, Lil' Wayne & Fabulous. Check it if you haven't yet:

The Face of Our Youth.... Really?

Ok, let's face it. Soulja Boy Tellem isn't going anywhere, so we might as well get used to it. I mean, I can't like "Turn My Swag On" is addictive and it BUMPS in my ipod... Although me personally, I don't "Put" my swag on.... It's ALWAYS on, LOL! Holla!!! But I digress...
Why oh why does this poor child always show up in public looking so messy? He's a slim man, he shouldn't wear clothes that swim on him-- he looks crazy. And how about that belt? Aren't belts meant to hold UP your pants? Do I even need to talk about that buffoonery of a chain, and lawd what's going on wit ya boi's stance? Looking all: "HOW YOU DOIN"? And whatnot... SMH. Hire this boy a stylist please... If he already has one, we gotta handle that execution style!

The Devil Made Me Do It.

I hate to bombard y'all with more CB/Ri-Ri news.. I just CAN'T ESCAPE IT!!! So-- the trial went down last week, but is being post-poned until April. Rihanna does not want an order of protection against Brown.. It would be kinda hard anyone considering that they are bumping uglies on a regular basis... Again...
My good friend Mo told me that the defense team is drafting up this cockamaie proposal that stipulates if Chris touches Rihanna again, he must pay her $10 million... Word? Can every battered woman in America get such treatment? Just wondering. That deifnitley seems more than a little bias on the justive system's side. IMO, if Ri-Ri is fool enough to go back to someone who would beat you within an inch of your life-- then damn it, suffer the consequences! Why get PAID for it? SMDH. Anyways, check out what advice mama OPRAH has for the poor misguided Rihanna:

"Chris Has Abused Me Before", Rihanna Claims to LAPD

The folks over at Hollyscoop have revealed something I had initially speculated-- Chris has hit Rihanna in the past. Although they seemed so perfect, there was abuse and turmoil going on from the gate:
Chris Brown and Rihanna seemed like the perfect couple on the outside, but after his recent arrest for felony battery, we’ve learned that it wasn’t the first time Chris raised a hand on her.
According to Police reports, Rihanna claims that Chris has hit her in the past and she referred to it as an ongoing and escalating abusive relationship.
When Rihanna first spoke to LAPD she refused to tell them what started the argument that night. We’ve now learned that it was the result of another woman sending Chris a text message about meeting up later on in the night.
During the argument, according to the police report, she ordered him to drive her home and “faked a call” to someone, saying things like, “He’s dropping me off. Make sure the cops are there,” reports TMZ. This enraged Chris.
He then said something to the effect of “You are really fu**ed up now. I’m going to kill you.” That’s when Chris allegedly began his violent attack with his fists.
At some point during the attack Rihanna took the car keys out of the ignition and threw them outside. He reportedly went outside to look for them, and returned back to the car and allegedly choked her. That’s when she lost consciousness and a witness called 911.
Based on Rihanna’s statement and her injuries Chris will definitely face a felony domestic battery charge, but it’s unclear at this time whether or not that’s the only charge he’ll get because evidence that he made criminal threats against Rihanna is kind of thin.
Geez Loise, this is a mess. I wanted to give Chris the benefit of the doubt, but as things start to unfold, I feel less and less confident that he has a fighting chance. Poor Rihanna. Abusive relationships can definitely sneak up on you-- one day your happy, and the next your wearing glasses to hide black eyes. I'm glad this issue got so public-- there's no way Rihanna can go back to that (in her right mind) and even if she did-- she's got a whole nation of people that will STOP her!

Chris Brown Allegedly Assualts Rihanna! No Show at Grammy's.

Last night, Chris Brown turned himself into an LA county jail for assault and domestic violence. It's being speculated that the r&b pop star had an argument with pop-sensation-gilrfriend Rihanna, and haled-off and whooped her butt. Speculators are claiming that the fight resulted from Rihanna giving Chris herpes! Witnesses claim that they heard the two arguing angrily before the assualt occurred. Neither one showed up at the Grammy's last night where they were slated to perform....
I'm not sure how much of this story is speculation, and how much is true-- but Chris is about to lose a ton of fans for this one. The majority of his fan-base is female-- why would you ever hit a female... ESPECIALLY when you DEPEND on females to maintain your lifestyle, smh. It IS NEVER acceptable to let someone hit you. Ladies, I hope you are heeding these words. If someone lays their hands on you... GET OUT!
If this story is true, I sure hope Rihanna doesn't play herself and go back to this guy. He's clearly a wanna-be thug who talks with his hands, and that's ultra-lame. More on the story as it develops....Check out the footage of Brown's "Walk of Shame" into police custody last night:

50 Takes Rick Ross' Ex On Shopping Spree...

Virtually out of nowhere, Rick Ross started attacking 50 Cent and his situation with his baby-mama. 50 has responded with a series of videos, rhymes, even cartoons to really drive the point home that Rick Ross should have NEVER tried to mess with him. In his words he will: "fuck Rick Ross's life up. End his career". In his latest attempt, 50 took Rick Ross' baby-mama shopping at Gucci, and bought her a fur (as well as her friend). He is also funding a new book that she is writing-- a tell-all revealing Rick Ross as a correctional officer, living off of $300/wk for most of his life. Unfortunately for Ross, he has built his short rap-career on the image that he is the biggest drug dealer in Miami. Interesting. Watch the video below if you want to see Tia and 50 discuss Ross. The version below is a little more expanded with more video-background about the beef. WATCH:

I Called This Ish....

A few days before inauguration, my BFF and I were talking about the song-choice, and Beyonce's role to sing the first-dance song. Neither one of us woulda had a problem with it, had they not had Beyonce sing "At Last". I mean, it's NOT like Etta James is dead. Why wouldn't she sing it? Some people say "Maybe she's too old". BS. If Pavoratti, and all these other opera legends can sing until their last breath, than so can anyone. It's about hard work, and training your voice-- period. Sinatra sang til his last days. Gimmie a break! D-Listed hooked it up with a direct-quote from Etta James after the inauguration:
Etta told the audience, "You know, YOUR President, the one with the big ears-he ain’t my President–had that woman singing for him at his Inauguration. She’s going to get her ass whooped. How dare Beyonce sing MY song that I been singing forever. Now I’m going to sing it for y’all….”
Honestly, besides the rude "big ear" comment, I totally agree with Etta. She has a right to feel that way. That's HER song. She's still alive, and she certainly has earned the credits to deserve that role. She was around to see civil rights unfold, and as a great contributor to Black art, she is certainly a big part of it as well. SMH.

The "REAL" Kim...

Lil' Kim has been all over the media giving her views about the new NOTORIOUS movie... Well, she's not done yet. The Brooklyn-native wants everyone to know that the REAL love story about her and BIG will come out, and she will be represented right. I know Kim is getting a lot of flack for speaking out-- but I think she's right. If you, me or anyone else was being portrayed in a film that can potentially be seen all over the world, wouldn't you want to be portrayed accurately? Or would you just sit back and say, " Oh well, I look like a crazy, obsessive, bitter slore but it's all good"... Ummmmm, no. So let's not be so hard on her. I saw the film, and I agree. The actress who played her was shamefully off the mark, and if you didn't know Kim's relationship with BIG, you'd reduce her to a random, stalker-type-- which I'm pretty sure his and her fans know isn't the case. Thanks to the good folks at Bossip for this quote... Kim has some final words on the issue. Check it:
“I feel like I was not portrayed how I should have been in this movie. I was in love with BIG and he was in love with me. I was never a JUMP-OFF, I know this and BIG knew this. I wasn’t even able to choose who I wanted to portray me in this movie. I would have never picked Naturi, she doesn’t have a Lil Kim aura at all! She looks nothing like I looked back then. We have NO similarities. Watching her on-screen was so “dreadful” as Simon Cowell would say. She is tasteless and talentless. Never once did she contact me for input or to get a feel of me for the character. A “TRUE” actress would contact the source to be the best they can be in portraying someone. That told me right there, she wasn’t right for the part and not to mention, Naturi has got to be one of THE worst actresses I’ve ever seen and I can’t believe they chose her. I really can’t!
Another thing is, I have been dealing with legal matters as far as them not wanting to pay me and sh*t for this movie, got a lawyer involved, so everything is cool with that, but it still doesn’t change my views and feelings. This is truly Faith and Ms. Wallace’s movie. And Ms. Wallace is right, this isn’t a Lil’ Kim movie and it’s not about me. I didn’t want it to be about me, I wanted it to be REAL though. And that it is NOT. I take no part in this movie and have nothing to do with it. I love BIG and will never stop reppin him. There is NOTHING anyone can do about it. The world will see the Lil Kim story, THE REAL ME! Not some made up bullshit portrayed by a talentless has-been back up singer.”

Chuck Baltimore, Where Are You?

Well, it looks like Lil' Kim isn't the only one to have a gripe about the new "NOTORIOUS" movie. One of Kim's long-standing rivals, Tiffany Lane, aka Charli Baltimore, should be more than a little annoyed that she was not portrayed in the movie... AT ALL. See, Charli was the late, great, Notorious B.I.G's girlfriend in the midst of his turmoil and break-up with Faith Evans. She was also the woman he was supposedly claiming at the time of his death. The relationship with Charli was highly publicized, especially when Biggie put her in his video, "Get Money". Many did not know Baltimore at the time, and being that she was fair-skinned and had blond hair, they thought she was playing the part of Faith in that video... This made Charli infamous. She went on to have a rap career, that bubbled but never truly broke-in. I personally always liked her. In my opinion she probably could have been much more famous if she had the right management-- I guess.
Charli started off on the Untertainment label with Cam'ron, and later joined Murder Inc with labelmates: Ashanti, Ja Rule and Vita.
Although the relationship she had with Biggie was well-known, even to his then-wife Faith, Charli was not portrayed in his film what-so-ever. I believe that true fans who grew up on this music, and know the culture will be disappointed if they have not seen it already. Charli was definitely a major player in this story, and it's too bad it was not included. Foxy Brown
once said that Charli was the hardest working woman in the rap game... Who knew?
Earlier this week, Charli gave her feelings about the issue on Vlad TV. WATCH:

Don't Mess Wit QUEEN BEE...

...Well apparently. It's not secret that all were in attendance for the NOTORIOUS movie premiere. All but one very distinct and important person: Lil' Kim. Recently, Kim has been speaking out in the media about her dislike of the film, and how the characters were portrayed incorrectly. She's mad at the poor casting choices (and I totally agree, I mean, Naturi Naughton as Lil' Kim? Gimmie a break)... MTV News has more on the situation at hand:
The Queen recently came out publicly and stated she is not in support of the film and blames Big's mother, Voletta Wallace, and his widow, singer Faith Evans, for what she calls a negative portrayal.
"I've had enough and I'm about to expose them both. ... I've been quiet for a long time," Kim was quoted as saying by Hip-Hop Weekly. "I'm very disappointed in Faith. There's nothing Faith or Ms. Wallace could do to stop me from reppin' B.I.G. all day. I'm gonna always do that. ... It's time for Ms. Wallace to be exposed.
"I was not involved in the movie," she continued. "[The filmmakers] never came and asked me anything about Biggie, but again, this was Faith and Ms. Wallace's movie," Kim told the tabloid about her thoughts on the biopic. "I couldn't believe it. I was outraged," adding that she thought Naturi Naughton was a bad choice to play her and that Jamal Woolard was a poor choice to portray Big.
I can't lie. I agree with most of what Kim said, except I'm not so sure why or how she could really have beef with the man's mother. I don't get how Voletta Wallace fits in to this beef, but I'm sure time will reveal... The casting choice was certainly poor. Naturi is NOT Lil' Kim nor will she ever be. Even homegirl from Player's Club would have done a better job. And wouldn't Gorilla Zoe be the obvious choice for BIG? SMH... Faith was asked about how she felt in response to Kim's outbursts in Hip Hop Weekly Magazine. Faith had the following to say:
I try my best not to think about it," Evans told MTV News on Thursday afternoon (January 8) about Kim's recent quotes. "It's kinda sad."
Evans said the magazine informed her of the quotes. "I got four kids, and I definitely don't have time for this type of sh--," she noted. "It's just sad. I don't know Kim's story like that. The part of my life that she was a part of, that what was in my book. This movie is not relative to my book other than that there are certain things in there. This is not my movie. I didn't write the script. Any characters in the film had to agree for their life rights to be in the movie. I don't think I would have signed anything had I felt I was not portrayed properly. I think she had the opportunity to do that. I could be mistaken. I wasn't there....I think that beyond myself, Ms. Wallace or whoever else she wants to blame, everyone who was around Big at that time has had some things to say about [her relationship with Biggie] in order for Cheo to even write the book. He interviewed pretty much all of us. She's sadly mistaken. I'm aware of what she has to say, and that's fine. I don't know what to say. God bless her."
Hmmmm, interesting, isn't it? We will just have to see how this all plays out in the coming weeks, but I do know this: Kim might be an itty bitty lil thing-- but I DAMN sure wouldn't wanna mess with her. This lady is gully, she'll lie in court, duck and dodge the long arm of the law and do whatever else it is she has to do to "stay down". All y'all could miss me with any of that level of drama... I'm good. Kim hold ya head girl, your fans are definitely feeling you. As for Faith and Ms. Wallace, I don't knock em either-- my real beef is with the casting director of "Notorious". SMH.

For Serious, Jet Blue?

Don't know this guy, huh? Well you should.. Especially some of you ladies out there because this is a newly rich and VERY SMART man. Raed Jarrar (Jet Blue passenger & all-around genius) just made $240,000 in light of our constitution. He boarded a Jet Blue flight and was asked to change his shirt because it made other passengers "uneasy" and was: "The equivalent of a man going into a bank with a shirt that says, 'I am a bank robber'". Wow-- so many things wrong with THAT one, that I'm not even going to touch it. His t-shirt had Arabic script written on the front with: "We will not be silenced" written right below it. Ohhhhh the horror (**rolling eyes strongly & intently**)!!! Anyway, Mr. Jarrar was forced to move from the front of the plane to the back-- even after he was kind enough to remove his shirt in exchange for one of Jet-Blue's. I am appalled at our behavior in this country. Aren't we supposed to be "free"? Whatever happened to freedom of speech and yadda, yadda, yadda?
In any event, I'm glad we have the freedom to sue, because ol' boy sued the PANTS offa Jet Blue-- and trust me, this is NOT the economic climate in which you want to get sued over frivolous stupidity like this... SMH. Big shouts to Mr. Jarrar, and anyone who stands up against that big ol' ugly machine.

Kanye West Lip Synchs.

As the old adage goes, every dog has his day-- and apparently Saturday night was Kanye's. Kanye performed last week on SNL to a huge anticipating audience. Little did he know he was about to reach the ranks of Ashlee Simpson, and Mariah Carey on the top-5 lip synch blunders of all time list. In the video below, Kanye struggles painfully through "Love Lockdown". He even has an offstage singer help him during some "tough" areas. See, kids? This is what happens when your arrogant. When you go around saying how great you are, and how innovative you are, and how you deserve every award there is to offer. This is what happens when you sing an entire album using a vocoder, and when it comes time to perform you have to face the fact that you can't sing. This is reality folks. Reality 2008. WATCH:

One Man Killed & Others Injured In Walmart Stampede...

...The term "Black Friday" will never be the same for Americans. Particularly those in Long Island, NY. According to the Daily News 34-year-old Jdimytai Damour was a temporary seasonal employee for Walmart during this busy holiday season. He was trying to calm the crowd at 5 am on Friday as the doors opened for Black Friday shoppers, but instead was greeted by a huge, unruly stampede. Once Damour was knocked to the ground, no one even cared to help him up. Several more people trampled over him, even after he was dead. Doctors say he sufferes cardiac arrest as well as several other injuries to his body. Along with the death, 4 other shoppers were critically injured-- including a woman who was 9-months pregnant. A co-worker had the following to say:
"He was bum-rushed by 200 people," said Wal-Mart worker Jimmy Overby, 43.
"They took the doors off the hinges. He was trampled and killed in front of me.
"They took me down, too ... I didn't know if I was going to live through it. I literally had to fight people off my back," Overby said.
This is sickening and sad. I mean, Walmart has great prices and all, but it's hardly "to die for"... Wow, was that in poor taste? Anyway, Mr. Damour's untimely death is a shame, and should be a reminder to us all how fully consumed we are with greed and consumption in this country. We all fall victim to it sometimes, but this situation here is nauseating. Happy Holidays.

Straight Swagger-Jackin'!

Now I know all you out there in web-land love Rihanna as much as the next person. She clearly was the "it" girl of 2008, and it doesn't look like she's showing any signs of stopping... Good for her! Now let's get right down to it. A friend of mine pointed out that she had seen a post on BOSSIP that clearly shows how Rihanna yanked Fefe Dobson's style. A lot of people don't know this, but Fefe was also a protege of Jay-Z's on Def Jam. And way before Rihanna turned faux-punk-avant-garde, there was Fefe. Fefe had the funky haircut, neck-to-ear tats and straight up funky style that everyone currently worships Rihanna for... 'Tis a shame. You gotta give credit where it's due. I guess I wasn't the only one who thought this, because below is a youtube video showing Rihanna and Fefe side-by-side, and Rih Rih is most certainly getting her jack-on. I guess now we know how she "re-invented" herself. Check it out below:
So what do y'all think? Is this mountain-out-of-mole-hill-making? Or is this serious? I for one was just intrigued because the media has put SO MUCH focus on how original and innovative Rihanna's style is... So if she really yanked Fefe like that-- that would be kinda crazy.... No?
