Is Ciara Swagger- Jackin?

The image above has been all over the net-- I saw it on Bossip and had to SMH... From the images, it really looks like Ciara has been "influenced" a great deal by Beyonce, but I dunno. How can Ciara be accused of swagger-jackin' when all Bey's swag is pre-jacked? LOL, do y'all follow? I dunno. Bey has been called out more than once for imitating someone else-- and it's really no big deal at the end of the day. People said Beyonce's "If I Were A Boy" was a straight jack off Ciara's "If I Was A Boy"... Big deal-- they jack each other and we know it... NEXT!

When asked to describe herself as a wife:

“I don’t know how to talk about it because I don’t like to talk about it. But I have a great example of a great wife, and that’s my mother. And I have great friends around me that have been married, so I’m lucky to have really good examples. And a great husband.”

She says they are just like any other couple. She is learning to cook and he’s getting over his single-guy habits.

When asked what’s the one thing she does to get on his nerve:



“I’m a little messy. Oh, yeah. Whenever I’m out in public, I have to be put together. When I get home, I rebel against it and I don’t want to take care of anything. I drop it. I’m relaxed. I don’t have any shoes on. No makeup. My purse is in the kitchen. I think that is most difficult thing for him. He’s very, very organized. I’m extremely organized when I’m working, and I work so much that when I get home I don’t want to think about anything.”

As for what Jay-Z does that get on her nerves: She laughs, “I won’t say.



When asked about retiring by age 21:

“I’ve worked so hard on my craft, and I will never stop. I will never retire. I love it way too much.”

What More Black Folks Should Do....

"I got so sick and filthy with bengie's I can't spend it..." That is a quote from Beyonce's hit-song, "Diva", and it's true to form. The R&B diva has made wise investment choices and has stacks for days. She has not even touched her multi-million stacks, and doesn't really plan to. Check out what the good folks at Bossip had to say on this:

R&B superstar BEYONCE has yet to spend any of her multi-million dollar fortune - insisting she hasn’t bought any luxury items with her cash.

The singer was recently named the richest star under 30 years old - with an estimated $80 million in the bank.

But Beyonce - whose wedding ring is worth $5 million - is adamant that she has invested all of her money wisely, and won’t be spending any of her earnings on fast cars or expensive jewellery.

She says, “Honestly, I’m very frugal. I haven’t bought a car since I was 16 or any diamonds since I was 17. I have a lot of property. I’ve invested my money and I don’t have to make any more, thank God, because I’m set. “I’m now able really to be free and just do thngs that make me happy. It’s an effort to stay grounded.”

I have always said that one of the biggest problems in the Black community is that we are the largest consumers, but the fewest when it comes to investing. We will pour our money into things that depreciate like: cars, clothes, jewelery, shoes, etc. What we need to do is buy more stocks and bonds, shares in companies and other ventures. If we did more of that, and less stupid-spending we could really fix the infrastructure of our torn community. Beyonce might not be the brightest bulb in the lamp when it comes to most things, but when it comers to money? She's GOT IT honey! Chuuuuch.

New Beyonce: DIVA

Beyonce has done it again with her latest single off her album: "I am.... Sasha Fierce". This new song is called "Diva", and I looooooove it! This right here knocks. It's a spin-off of the ever-sampled, ever-remixed "A millie" beat. With the hard beat in the back, with Bey's vocals, this is certainly going to be her 3rd hit off this album. I'm a totally and completely a closeted Beyonce fan... Y'all got me!

Bey was here in the Big Apple at the premiere of her new film, "Cadillac Records" that comes out on Friday. In the shot above she is with her pet camel-- oops, I mean husband Jay-Z. He really needs a tape-up and a trash bin for those bifocals... Sheesh! Anyway, Bey is doing big things (as usual), starring as Etta James in the new flick:

I kinda want to see it, not because of Bey's acting abilities (LOL), but because I've always wanted to see her act like a cracked-out fiend. Now THAT's what I call entertainment!

Bey's out with another single... Yet again (big shouts to Sandra rose for the link!). Word on the street is the Stans are disappointed... They are not really feeling ya girl's alter ego: "Sasha Fierce". Could this really be the case? I guess it's up to y'all.... WATCH:

I was browsing the web today, and saw an article on: www.singersroom.com. They were discussing how bey has been on the campaign trail with Jay-Z, and everything is not all peaches and cream. Says Bey,

"We don't have a normal relationship because of our careers. But celebrity or not, you go through the exact same things. We're not perfect."

While the couple appears be going strong as they finally acknowledge their marriage through several outlets including Gotham Magazine who recently interviewed Beyonce, there have been a number of disagreements like any other couple.

However, at the moment Beyonce is head over heals for Mr. Carter.

"This is like my first relationship. I'm very private and, of course, I don't talk about it, but I'm very, very happy. That's all I'll say."

Hmmm. Wish I could say that was interesting and full of scandal... But it really wasn't... Was it? Beyonce always has a knack for getting us all hot and bothered about something really revealing that she might say-- but in the end she always manages to keep it private...Oh well, Singer's Room also goes on to talk about Beyonce's latest effort, "I am... Sasha Fierce". If that is not the only pretencious-I'm-really-real-like-for-real-guys type of album title-- then I don't know what is. Now y'all know here at CCW we don't particularly are about keeping up with the Joneses. If anything, he Jones fam better catch up with us-- but I digress. Being that so many of you out there in web-land are fans, I felt it was my civic duty to post Beyonce's latest effort: "If I Were A Boy". She kinda yanked Ciara's swag with the concept, but I guess it's a depature from what Ciara did with it. I dunno if I'm a fan. You decide. WATCH:

Says Beyonce Knowles-Carter (lol), in the November issue of Essence (which she covers) due to hit stand on October 12th. She also speaks on her legacy:

“I want to be acknowledged as a woman in a very talented group with great harmonies and great songs that made history and changed the culture of women, not only in America but all over the world. (A woman) who could sing a cappella and write her own songs and produce her own songs.”

Interesting. I can't say that "Bootylicious" or "Get Me Bodied" have really changed the culture of women in any way. And to be honest I have yet to see a video, or hear a song of hers that is politically, culturally, socially or even racially conscious. When I think of women in that scope, I think of the Erykah Badu's, Lauryn Hill's, and maybe even Jill Scott's of our time... I think Beyonce has made some good music in her day-- catchy, fun and relatable, but definitely not anything innovative, mind-boggling or world-changing. If she is interested in that type of thing, I think she needs to dig WAY deeper... Just a thought.

This just in from Forbes Magazine: Beyonce made $80 million last year. She is the 2nd highest paid entertainer in the U.S last year (second only to Sting & the Police ringing in $110 million) with tours, endorsement deals, movie appearances and record sales totaling $80 million... 

Now listen, I know I have been subject to criticize her ubiquity in the past (and the fact remains the same we CAN use a Beyonce-vacation). I even made a label called "Bayonce- Slayer" dedicated to those females taking over the mundane... But I can't hate. A bitch is RICH! She has made a mini-empire, and made it that much bigger by marrying Shawn Carter. Oh yeah, and that love thing they got going is kinda nice too... You GO GIRL! I ain't mad 'atcha... You seen my e-mail on the side-tab section... You betta HOLLA! (haha.) 

Beyonce's New Career?

Here's a flick of Beyonce last week in Harlem. No, no, no, she's not joining the "Boys in blue". She was shooting her latest video, "If I was A Boy". And lemme tell you something honey, you can TELL that she isn't a real cop because the way they run around town all day she would have more than a "jock itch" judging from the serious camel-toe action she got goin on. Geez! When's the last time you seen a cop with a uniform that tight? SMH...

The Eagle Will Land November 17th

For all you Beyonce Stans out there, the time has come. Beyonce has been working on her follow-up to 2006's "B-Day" with her yet-to-be-titled LP. "If I Were A Boy" & "Single Ladies" are set to hit the airwaves on October 7th. According to Bey, she co-wrote and co-produced all the songs on this album. This will be her third, final and most personal album to date. The official release is November 17th (hope she's not stepping on any toes, lol).

PS: That whole Etta James thing was cute and all, but homegirl really needs to let that hair-piece go! **SNAPS!**

Jayonce Expected To Interview Exclusively With Oprah

According to Mediatakeout.com Jay-Z and Beyonce are in talks about doing an exclusive interview with Oprah sometime this summer. The camera-shy couple will be expected to talk about marriage, pregnancy rumors as well as the industry and pressures of an industry relationship. This might be one of the most anticipated interviews in black media. If this is true, I'm sure the ratings will be insane. I'm just interested to watch because I know that Oprah has made no secret about her disdain for rap and rappers... Things that make you go HMMMMMMMM.

Why Didn't Mariah Carey Do This?

According to the National Enquirer (via Necole bitchie), Beyonce and J-Hova have signed a pretty lucrative pre-nup agreement. I'm glad they took the sensible route. I wonder why Mariah didn't. She's 11 years older, and 11 times richer than Nick Cannon... Oy Vey! Anyway, Beyonce isn't doing that bad at a reported $100 million net worth. However, jay-Z trumps that at a reported $300 million net worth. So I guess he doesn't mind throwing a few dollars at her...The details are as follows:

"Jay-Z adores Beyonce, and was pretty much willing to give her almost anything she wanted. The prenup calls for Jay-Z to pay Beyonce $10 million if the marriage ends after two years, and $1 million a year for each further year she remains in the marriage, up to fifteen years.... He’s promised to pay her an additional $5 million for each child she bears for him-for her loss of income during pregnancy and child-rearing years”

Let this be a lesson to you kids: "If you ain't no chump holla: WE WANT PRE-NUPS! WE WANT PRE-NUPS! Yeeeeeah, it's something that you need to have cuz when they leave yo' ass they gonna leave with half"! Thank you Kanye West.

According to Beyonce's cousin (and media whore) Angelica Knowles, Beyonce is now steadfastly working on her next (and last) album, and is pregnant with Sir. Camel's big-headed baby... Could this be true??? Word is that she is planning to settle down with her new hubby and start a family. Can the pop-diva really be headed towards retirement??? Word on the street is that she will be scouting talent for her hubby's music label : The Carter Group. There is also much talk about her new protege named Chelsea Thomas. Apparently she is "the next Bey".... Hmmmm, this sounds very interesting and too good to be true. Let's look back shall we? Too Short "retired" 8 times... Jay-Z "retired" twice, and Michael Jordan? Pahleeze honey. But we will see. I can't say I wouldn't be happy if she did. The world was kinda getting sick of the Creole Queen...

Denial Ain't a River in Egypt Honey!

This is ridiculous.... And we are the fools feeding into it. Beyoncewas seen yesterday wearing these motorcycle gloves, and she doesn't own a bike. This leads me to believe that she is making a feeble attempt to hide her wedding ring, and the whole thing is quite silly. Come on people! The jig is up! We've heard the gossip, seen the pictures, and heard the details. It's OVER! What's wrong with two people happily expressiong their love? Kelis and nas didn't seem to have any problems with it. Jay-Z had a concert in Atlanta last night as well, and he has not been captured wearing a wedding ring yet. In fact, he hasn't been captured wearing any type of ring whatsoever. When will this charade end???? And when we will stop caring?

Beyonce & Jay Z "Set to Marry" Today!

I proceed with caution on this post because there have been so many rumors about these two in the past. However, fox news as well as perezhilton.com are reporting the story, so I will give it the benefit of the doubt. Apparently, earlier this week, Jayonce got a marriage license in Catskill, NY that is good for 60 days. In addition, it is being reported that they are getting married at a super-secret location in NYC today. Some theorists claim that since Beyonce's birthday is September 4th, and Jay-Z's is December 4th , that 4/4/08 would be the perfect wedding date.... Awwwwwww. How sickening! They also got matching tatoos on their ring fingers last year with that date in arabic. Interesting.



Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams left a giddy youtube message yesterday from an "undisclosed location". They are most likely in NY getting ready for the 'nuptuals. I wish the best for these two. They have been through a lot over their 6 year relationship, and really I don't even know the half. No one does really-- they keep their stuff under wraps, but one can deduce from some of their music that they have definitely been through it a time or two. They seem right for each other, and I wish them the best!
