The "It" Dude....

I was asked by one of my lovely readers, Dee-Dee (in the chatbox) who was the guy that everyone was crushing on now. I guess we have to ask that now that Chris Brown has been reduced to a blubbering, woman-beater-- smh... Well, I can't really speak for the masses, because often my tastes are unique and esoteric. I can just speak for me. Right now, I do have a lil celeb-crush on Ryan Leslie. He's not my typical choice aesthetically, but really it's the whole package that makes him note-worthy.

I think he's a talented producer and a good singer but what is much more impressive is his intelligence and his work ethic. Graduating from an Ivy League school before your 18th birthday is just too cool, man. I admire that. Plus the man is always on twitter either leaving the studio at like 5am, or going right back into it...



He's always on the grind and ambition is great! His beats are contagious, and his songs are thoughtful-- they seem tangible like he is speaking from life experiences-- that's what most artists strive to achieve. Lastly, I just like his swagger (for lack of a better word). He looks like a well-dressed jazz musician of the late 50's or early 1960's...



He's got that retro-glamour-gentlemanly style that very, very few can encapsulate. I really hate to gush y'all but you asked, haha! I hope that answered your question, Dee-Dee!
